Title: mail order oil
Post by: Matt_H on August 21, 2006, 17:39:21: Is it worth even looking for mail order oil? Obviously postage price is going to be the killer, but the need for oil when changes when you've got to do a landy (6000 miles) and a bike (4000 miles) sem to come around all too often.. Am I best just going to the local motor factors?

Unless you want something fancy, mail order just isn't worth the cost.

A while ago halfords had buy 2 get one free offer which was quite good as the synth price was about the same as semi regular then. Not seen anything like that though recently :(

Post by: bezzabsa on August 21, 2006, 18:04:39: oir local independant vauxhall dealer is selling Genuine GM oil at Ã‚Â£8 a galon - GM price is something like Ã‚Â£25 :shock: , pays to shop around - and as stated ask for discount on bulk buy - or even try a trade only place..if you dont ask you'll never know

I'm moving down to basing stoke in 2 weeks time (buying 1st house) so once i'm moved in i'm sure we can come to some arrangement

That would also be my suggestion, but if you live in the middle of a big city, it might be a problem :lol:

I used to get a free supply of top-quality (turbo-diesel) oil a while ago, whenever I needed it (or asked for it)
