I'd read about this story earlier on the 'landrovernet' site (LRUK) & couldn't really believe it.

Question;
If the health of kids is the issue, wouldn't it be more appropriate to remove all smoking/drinking in all the soaps aimed at kids/teenagers??
So what's next to be hit?
The Simpsons;
Barts irresponsible skateboarding? ( in the opening sequence)
Maggie being scanned at the store? ( " " " ")
Homers eating habits, drinking & drink/driving??
'Itchy & Scratchy' being edited out of The Simpsons?
Apu Nahasapeemapetalons sterotyping as an immigrant shop-keeper?
I'd really expected the Yanks to do something like this before now.
Look at their response after the Janet Jackson/'wardrobe malfunction'/SuperBowl incident!
An American child will see 2000+ murders on TV (real, or dramatised) by the time he/she's 10, but a flash of flesh & the country's ready for a lynching

There was a HSE 'top-dog' on Jeremy Vine (Radio 2, 12:00 - 14:00) & he seemed quite aggrieved that H&S seems to be used as an excuse to ban practically everything.
He seemed to have more sense than the organisation is usually given credit for

I heard some of that programme too, I can't say I agreed with much he said, its just a nanny state we live in nowadays.
Why should someone else tell me to do 'this' or not to do 'that' because I might hurt myself?

We were talking about this over lunch at work today, and we came to the conclusion that T&J was actually quite educational, as the smoker always got his just deserts.
It was either an exploding cigar, or the whole of Tom turned to ash as the cigar burnt down too far.
So where's the problem?

Finally the penny drops - I knew here was a reason I used to hit people with frying pans and throw them through windows- those evil cartoons!! :twisted: :shock: :lol:
But really I think some HSE person has got way too much time on his or her hands and needs to get <insert whatever your mind comes up with mentally here> :lol:
