Title: Disco II wood kits
Post by: orlando on August 23, 2006, 09:47:19
How do all?

Does anyone know if it possible to remove the wood from a DSII ES dash and door panels.

I'm not too fussed about the strip across the passenger airbag or the top of the front doors, but would like to get rid of the wood surrounding the air con/clock/radio/vents etc, and the large panels on the back doors. Also the gear knobs and hand brake - which I presume are replaceable from LR Parts.

Orlando,

Are these aftermarket stick on's or the genuine parts, if they are genuine and the dash centre panel etc is a complete one piece moulding, I can supply fitting instructions (assuming removal is a simple reversal!!), and of course you could always swap it with my standard one.............................

Dunno - it was on a DS!! on ebay, was thinking of buying it and ripping out all the wood, but the reserve was far too high for what it was, so didn't bother in the end.

I think it was aftermarket as it had some large trim panels on the doors I've never seen before...
