Lucky for some. Not too fussed about Trivium, but I sooo want to see an Iron Maiden concert! Not fair!
-
I once had tickets to go see maiden..... unfortunatly for me my appendix decided that week was a good time to burst so I missed them  Since then I just never seem to have the time
-
yes i love trivium although ascendancy is better than ember to inferno
the band's efforts on roadrunner united are worth listening to as well
much better than maiden, who are a bit long in the tooth now! :?

LEAVE, NOW!
Just joking. But honestly. I got into Iron Maiden after developing my liking for Guns N Roses, and imo they are one of the best bands on the earth (Best of the beast, CD2, Track 1. LIVE Rime of the Aincent Mariner. Absolutley stunning!) Can't wait for the new album "A Matter of Life and Death" on the 29th!
-
hey im entitled to my opinion as most people here if not all dont know or dont like Strapping Young Lad but i think they're ace!
i used to like maiden before blaze joined and when bands re-recruit original singers it usually means they are desparate for the old formula to come back to get them minted again.
bands who dont break up are much better... U2, Queen, for example
they get better as they get older
-
Did someone mention Iron Maiden 8) 8) 8) 8)
-
I went to see Iron Maiden 30 years ago at Bolton Tec
does that make me old or them?
-
it also makes IM old too!
anyone remember wolfsbane

i liked these guys a lot actually!
-
Saw Maiden (quite a famous gig in reality - if deaths count), and saw Wolfsbane many a time.....
-
I remember Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden (I preferred the Bruce Dickinson days  ).
I've got all the Iron Maiden albums and the Trivium ones, just waiting for there next one in the next few months. :D

New Iron Maiden album "A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH" arrives tommorow, I can't wait
-
Just ordered it as well.... (the Iron Maiden one, that is).
-
I arrived about 2pm today, given it one spin through the system and all I can say is WOW! It's a great album, Maiden still got it! Plenty of long rock ballards, and some great music. Also got the DVD to watch at some stage.

my colleague read an article whereby matt heafy from trivium said that the next album wont have him screaming, just proper singing..
apparently the reason he screams in previous albums was cos he couldnt sing very well!

Well, it served James Hetfield well for a decade, so why not?
Hmm, best album since 'Piece of Mind' someone says. Could be worth a listen then, but I'm still reeling from the abominable times that spawned the simply attrocious 'Bring your daughter', et al. Jayz, what were they thinking?
Mind you, I was able to swap the album for a copy of Lars Rockits 'Annihliation Principle', so it wasnt' all bad.
Haven't heard a great deal of Trivium, but they certainly seem to have some talent about 'em. Should be an interestin' concert. Let us know how it goes, Dan.
cheers

this is very true.... i have heard a few songs from there new album and hes not screaming at all which is kinda weird but its still good isay
people say that the screaming is what made trivium, trivium.... i think not i think its about the music not the singin

-
Thats bad, as I said Amazon was brilliant, I've got it on the desk infront of me now. Where'd you order it from?
-
CD1*! (alledgedly)
-
Saw bullet for my valentine supporting GnR. They were IMHO pretty poor.
Certainly wouldnt download a track of theirs , even for nowt.
I have to say tho, the first few bars of the opening riff of 'Number of the Beast' still raise the hairs on the back of my neck.
Strange how that works aint it, Play any of 'Appetite for Destruction' , Number of the Beast, some old slayer etc and Im back to being 18-19 years old again, remembering old parties and stuff.
