Ive a 200tdi that has developed a nasty clicking noise from the front end in full lock. Are there just normal U/J's in there somewere behind the hub? Its one area ive not had to bits yet is it a straight forward job i could tackle or does it require special tools etc pullers or a press? :(

Got to be favourite for a cv going, not too difficult, the use of a hub nut spanner would be handy, and while its down, replace the rest, dont cost much more the bearings etc, if the swivel seal leaks do that too

Remove wheel, brake calliper (hang on wire out of the way) drive member, hubs nuts and outer bearing, hub. Then remove the stub axle and the CV joint will be inside the hole you have just made.
