ok cheers mate will have a look and see :D

Not if it's a Borg-Warner T-Box it isn't but it will fit.
-
But will probably need the mounts from the donor car if BW.

sorry don't understand

Later Range Rovers used the Borg Warner T-box, it has a slightly different ration, something like (don't quote me) 1.22:1. It will fit your Disco (a Range Rover in hiding anyway) but the original Diesel engines may have been different units, the Rangie being the VM lump. It will fit but is not a direct replacement.

right ,had a look at my donor box,as you rightly say it is from a vm diesel rangie..
it has HRC 1472
BSK 3
and 1:222 on the box just above the filler bung if this helps identify it?
will want it to fit a 200 series disco diesel
-
noticed too that the mounts are in different location ,so not sure whether to try it or not :(

a disco 200 & 300 tdi transfer box is a 1.22 ratio,same with all the other diesels,
a defender box is 1.410 ratio,
V8s are about 1.1 i think
