Title: a sound and light extravaganza.
Post by: defuzz on September 06, 2006, 11:30:46
I've got two problems with which I need your brilliant help.......

1) Headlights - I've just fitted brand new headlights (bowl/reflector/lens, not just bulbs) and now I need to get them aligned.  I did consider doing the old "park agaisnt a wal and draw lines where the old headlights went" but I'm pretty sure they weren't very well aligned in the first place.

so my question is there a way to align them myself (measurements of where the beam should fall in realtion to the vehicle etc) or can you tell me where I can get it done?  Do the quick-fit type garages do this? I've not found one yet who will nor had much luck with the yellow pages :-(

2) Stereo - After fittingthe lights, I reconnected the battery but instead of "enter code" on my stereo, I've now got "4411" and it won't respond to any buttons pressings nor allow me to enter my code.  I've disconnected it numerous times in teh past and have tried disconnecting it again to reset it but nowt happening.  any ideas??

I also used some silicon based "dashboard treatment" stuff in a can which sprays on to car plastic (headlight surrounds etc) and makes it look brands new.  Witht htat and my new lights the whole front end looks brill.  will post pics eventually.

Howdy , sorry cant help with the  stereo question,   BUT  if you pop down to a local n friendly mot bay when its not busy (ie saturday mornings)
im sure they would align them for you on the beam tester, i use to run a mot bay  in my past and if the person would wait/come by when not busy we would do tasks like this for them, good luck

hmmm how strange.  after leaving it unplugged for a long time, it now says SECURITY but still doesn't want to accept any code input
