Has any one seen the latest idea have a large excess on your insurance i.e £1000.00 save yourself couple of hundred on your insurance then pay another company £30 ish to cover the excess i.e if you have a claim you claim of the one company for your excess then the other company for the big part of the claim DOH.... is this getting cofusing or what!!!!

I've seen the idea of loading your excess to reduce your premium, I've been there and done that, especially when I was younger.
But doesn't the small print on a policy say that they will only pay out as the sole policy, which is designed to stop things being covered twice, e.g. if you have your camera stolen off the passenger seat, the insurance would not want to pay out if the camera was covered on a seperate policy. :?:
