Title: Slight Overheating & White smoke

help Guys

Just Picked Joe from service and he's still slightly overheating temp gauge sitting just over half way still have to put it under preasure Temp gauge been replaced and sensor may need a new rad.?

White Smoke when changing gear this is according to SWMBO head gasket done last year, Fuel Injection replaced 18 months a go plus a few adjsutments to get it run just right.

any more ideas please help just wanted to get it sorted before i go to wales next week.

sorry mate but is it a 200 or 300 tdi?
If it's a 300tdi, you said the heardgasket has been done but did you have the head crack tested as they are very common for cracking/ warping. Had to fit a new head to Nicepinkwellies the other month for the same problem(white smoke and overheating)

if it's a 200 then it could still apply though it is less common for the head to crack as it is more robust than the 300.
Are you getting excess pressure in the cooling system? Try starting it up with the expansion tank cap off and see if it pushing the water out, if so it leads towards the head having to come off.
Did it start this all of a sudden?

Neil its not back flushing mate it might be worth trip up to barwell to see you mate?
