Title: Removing suspension bushes - HELP!
Post by: Homer on September 08, 2006, 19:17:04
Hi All,

I am having a big problem getting the old bushes out of the "rear trailing arms" ( or they might be called "bottom links" or "rear radius arms" ). Got the ones out of the front radius arms no problem so thought we would tackle the rear this evening.

All the rubbers out, but I cant get the metal sleeving out, we have tried hammer and chisel etc. Any ideas - or does anyone local have some trailing arms (without bushes) for sale?

Cheers

Mark

You could try hacksawing down the sleeve, carefully goes with saying, once you have cut through the sleeve to the casing try a small sharp chisel or pointed driftto peel the thing off the casing, it should come away

Also try using a blow lamp to softed the sleeve up then chisel
