my mate has just rung
he's getting hitched in december and he's having his stag do in Glasgow, but i've never been
anyone give hints or ideas on what to do, where to go?
going tues 26th october (he's a headmaster, and its half term)

I've a sister who lives in Edinburgh and been to stay a few times great time very friendly :D

Central Glasgow is heaving with bars and places to eat. You can't fail to find somewhere to your taste. I'm driving up Saturday. My wife originates from just outside Glasgow and we are visiting the outlaws.
If I remember, I'll ask my brother in law where the latest trendy bars are! He'll know every one of them intimately :lol:

beprepared to have ur wallet emptied & ur card maxed,just started getting in 2 this going out caper & spent a fortune,glasgow as far as im aware is very expensive,£15 for 4 vodka & coke

I was on the same table as a scots man at a cousins wedding, I don,t remember much else other than we started buying two rounds at in one go just to save wear & tear on the shoes plus whiskey shasers hik :?

Creme de la Creme in the centre is where the foods at......and plenty of trendy (which is deffo an anagram of expensive somehow!) bars in teh local area....
Buffet style Indian Food in a converted Cinema with lots & lots of Cobra Beer...........
Just don't plan on doing too much the morning after...lol

Helensburgh is where I was born, not too far from Glasgow itself.

And I thought the 'Short Arms & Deep Pockets' syndrome was your 'Yorkshireness' exhibiting itself.
It's surprising how well you hide the accent :)

now that would make things a bit obvous.hey dangermouse,thats how a nite out for me is as the least drunk person gets double the drinks until every1 ends up at the bar as you cant walk any distance.
