hi people my rangie has finally become an uneconomical repair from a bodywork point of view but the engine gearbox and chassis is sound so i have decided to turn her into an offroad buggy a traker to be precise so anybody out there who has removed a rangie body your imput would be grately appreciated i have to leave the bulkhead and possibly the floorpan in situ me and my bro can do most things mech between us but this needs some advice cheers paul

how rot is the floor
cos they go quite bad under the seat mounts and bulkhead mounts
all you need it a 7"grinder and a hammer and chisel to cut the body down
but look first to see there is no pipes or wires in the way

Unbolt the exterior panels first and sell them/weigh them in. The roof can fetch up to £35 in the right places.
Cut the body away in manageable chunks, starting at the back I'd guess. Don't chisel it if you need to keep peices, use a grinder or if you can find such a museum peice as a hacksaw (remember those guys?).
