Nothing to report - resellers are legal, just unethical. Nothing in their T&Cs to cover what he's doing.

I'm not sure he is honest in his description "i was intending on respraying the inside but didnt get around to it" etc....i smell BS!!
I've asked him very nicely how long he has owned the vehicle and how many previous owners its had....we shall see if he is honest on his response!

Thats the way Thug could get it removed from ebay. Its in ebays policy that you can not copy anyone elses listing.

Well Trug was slightly ripped off in the sale in that some items used in part exchange weren't in the condition said.
Does anyone have Trugs origional listing as I will send it all to ebay.

How can you call yourself a Decent upstanding member of ebay, when you purposfully ripped someone off just to sell this on again. NONE of the stuff you gave to the old owner worked as it should (apart from the cash) and now you exepct to re sell it? Let's hope whoever buys it happens to read mud-club, then they will see what you truley are like!

Having just looked at the original listing again i see that it is not word for word but it is very similar :roll: He definately suggests that he knows this vehicle considerably better than a week would allow.

He's basically copied/pasted most of my wording...... what he doesnt say is the steering box is knackered, which i found out about on the day of the MOT. (he knows its knackered.)
I told him if he ever sold it to contact me 1st, he must be a dealer "obviously", dumped the celica on me and now is going to make a hefty profit on trug.
He told me the reason he had to get rid of the celica was because his wife wanted something taller (vehicle).
:twisted:... someone should tell the highest bidder near the end of the auction all about the steering and trans box.
Saying that.... i'm still getting people emailing me asking if its still for sale, as i withdrew it from auction early. So he'll get the same probably.
Nuff said :evil: ....... i'm still mighty angry about the celica, ive also found out since my last rant, an alloy wheel is warped/buckled..... not noticeable til you hit illegal speeds (my mechanic tells me).

Actually you probably could report him to ebay for misrepresenting the vehicles as his own rather than resold vehicles.

Its drivers rear wheel...... but it was probably originally on the front.
It would be nice if a mud-club member (made highest bid) bought the vehicle..... then knocked him down to accept £4k due to faulty steering box
Does he mention scratches down both sides? perhaps he's polished them out

Whoever does buy Trug is going to be getting a very good landrover, its probably worth £6.5k no more.
I put my buy it now price at £8k, but no way is it worth that much.
All it needs is a steering box, and trans box needs attention (keeps jumping out of low box, ever since i dragged a crashed car with no front wheels across a field and up an embankment, then along a road for 100yrds).
Also..... front wheels catch arches under very xtreme articulation, but that can be sorted no prob, as they only catch at the bottom rear. A 1cm trim would fix it.

He's lying in his answer to questions at bottom of auction, rear chassis has had plates welded, passenger swivel is pitted and leaking, steering box has play in it. He did not answer that its got 141K+ miles on the clock.

Sent a pm to the highest bidder pointing him at this thread. At the price it is now he would still get a bargain, but knowing how HONEST the seller is may stop him from going too high.

Well i just emailed every bidder in the list with a link to this thread! Its only fair that they should know the real truth! If its got unmentioned faults hes trying to rip off new bidders.
My ebay username is landyworld-co-uk so hopefuly that will have some credability. There is a good chance that some of the bidders are his friends, its very common on more pricey items. Lets see what replies I get. The only one ive had so far just said "thank you"!

Sorry to hassle you again, but are you aware that Trug is being resold on ebay using your orginal advert word for word. I am still interested the landy but not really into people making a profit from others hard work. Any chance you would be willing to share the price he paid for Trug as I dont want this guy to profit to ridiclous levels.
If you dont wont to then thats cool, no worries.

Well i have just received loads of emails from bidders. Most of them in fact. All seem rather grateful for my input! If one of the bidders I emailed was him / his mate that would probably make him remove it!

This is actually about it being morally wrong more than anything else, and to be honest nowadays morals are lacking in far too many people as is evident in this individual’s case.
I genuinely hope the guy who lied then resold it contracts a STD, bits fall off him, his wife leaves him and that his dog dies in some freak accident involving a banjo and a canary.

The new owner of trug seems a decent bloke, ive been intouch and told him exactly whats what with trug. At the end of the day he's bought a very decent 90.... which will run good for many years, loads of parts are brand new, just needs trans linkage??? seeing to and a passenger swivel.
Edit passenger swivel is slightly pitted and will last over 12mths as it is.
