ive been looking at two

a thule one and a mont blanc one

anyone here got either and opinionate on them?

Over here they have pretty good ones that clamp onto the tow bar, pretty smart (as long as you have a tow bar).  They are a bit expensive though.

I looked into this a couple of months ago and settled on a Thule 9103, very easy to get on and off and you can still use the rear door/hatch with it attached.

Hi.

The Thule thingy looks great - i also think i would be able to cram 2 x grown up bikes & 2 x kids bikes onto it - is that a possibility?

if so, would be much easier than our current options of carrying bikes

my only concern with rear-mounted is that you have a restricted view of the rear and as mine is a saloon and not hatch or similar, it would be a bit of a pain to mount i would imagine.
