thought the defender had the turbo on top - a-la 2.5 td????

actually it looks like a disco 200tdi engine (turbo is on the RHS of the engine, as you look towards it)

Which is what the original post said. All landrover turbos on that side of the engine somewhere arn't they?

Total rebuild for £500!!!.... that must have been a cheap garage!!!

Just to confirm.. tis a Discovery engine.

unless the 500 quid meant removing everything and putting it all back, does it mention what bits were renewed! ;)
