Title: Brake pedal
Post by: blueboar on September 28, 2006, 07:38:43
Hi

I have a 1995 Auto and have a slight  problem with my brake pedal, when I press the brakes I can hear a hissing noise, it sounds like air escaping, but the brake fluid has not gone down.

Thanks

Normal for Discovery brakes and nothing to worry about. If the pedal goes hard or sinks to the floor, that's the time to worry

Thanks for that,

If you pump the pedal then it is OK, but ifyou dont  the pedal  goes all the way down and you eventually stop.

Might be worth a look at the vacuum pipe near the servo, to see if a small pipe has come away at a t piece, might be causing a slight loss of vacuum pressure
