Title: Hi guys. Vitara Suspension Lift questions

Right a vitara suspension lift. Some ppl use landrover springs on the rear and what springs on the front. What is the cheepest way to do it say a 2" to 3" lift.
Do you need to change the shox aswell or can ya get away with it.

Come on guys you are the suzuki guys so teach me your guru know how.

My ears are open.

woty sort of lift are you lookin for?
imho i wudnt go for 3" suspension lift it will cause you no end of trouble
get some 1.5" springs from pro-comp then get in touch with dave jones @ http://www.bits4vits.co.uk he can sort other bits for you

what sort of a price start to finnish are we talking about. I have a mate who is after a lift on his vit and he was asking today

ok ere goes
pro-comp 1.5" springs     =140 ish
1.25" poly coil spacers     =60 ish
2" rear shock extensions =35 ish
1.5" front dampner extension 35 ish
2" body lift = 60 ish
30" tyres with wheels 150 ish 2nd hand

that shud get you started

Nice one mate.....Thats what I need to find out. Anybody else got any ideas aswell I am open to suggestions

You could save yourself the hassle of the body lift by cutting away your wheel arches, but it ain't for the faint hearted. I suppose it all depends what size tyres you'll be using (& how much rust you want to get rid of). A friend of mine has 31"s with a suspension lift & no body lift. There is a v small amount of fouling when full lock is applied, but the offset on his rims is not exactly large.

What "trouble" do you get with a 3" lift, Simon? :)

Other than the weedy front axle? :)  :oops:  :lol:

weedy front axle is enuf aint it damon
you got 3 choices
1 stick with cast one
2 buy expensive gv version front axle
3 get granvil conversion and wait 5 months  :lol:

hee hee

i just think with spring and coil combo its better

not sure how high i have mine lifted,but it all work in,i have 235 x85 x 16 tyres fitted on grand vitara rims
