Title: What Oil???

Ok I am suffering from brain fade, well it is Friday. Anyway is 15w-40 Mineral oil ok for a 1988 3;5 RRC please  :oops:

Yes but change it before we start getting frosts - its only good down to zero degrees celsius.

I always thought that those posh oils were wated on an old design like the V8.

I used Morris 20/50 which is what was specified for the engine in ye goode olde days. Doesn't the higher viscocity help the hyrdaulic tappets?

I use Lucas oils 20w/50 or 15w/40 long drain.  It comes with 20% oil stabiliser which is good stuff anf the bottle is more than enough for one oil change (9.46 Litres).
