Title: No More Billing !!

billing is def no longer the venue for the show its been moved to kelmarsh!! 12 miles north of billing
looks like 2 offroad courses too

I'm a bit peed off - here was the ideal chance to move a landrover event nearer the middle of the country to make it fairer for travellers

Post by: schuee on September 30, 2006, 13:06:39: Around the Brother In Law's last night he showed me the booking form for camping and the two off road courses he had received from LRE, for Kelmarsh Hall.

Looks like a good venue, hope there is an improvement on the showers and toilets :lol: :lol: :lol:

I would agree we had been going for years then 1 year we had trouble with some neighbours the wife is scared to stay on the site again because of the abuse we got!! :evil: :evil:

Post by: landroverkeith on September 30, 2006, 13:45:29: i know what ya mean about that too 1 year we had some nice people besides us who thought they would stick a tent up in the space in front of our awning where the disco was parked, had to get them to remove it and was a atmosphere that ruined the holiday after that

If i 'am treated right i'll be alright we had been going there for 6 years+ and never had any trouble had some great neighbours i can remember having a water pistol fight at 11pm and everyone joining in great fun!!! :D

I agree with you, we have been going for the last 5 years all with good neighbours and we have all had a cracking time :D :D

Long may it carry on at the new venue :D :D

Same year we saw people peeing on the side of a tent :shock: We've not been to Billing since.

Camping at Billing is always total chaos too. I'm sure they over book.

Maybe the change of venue will be a good thing and they'll get it sorted.

On the couple of occasions we have been to the Peterborough show, it has been well organised with defined pitches and no trouble as far as I know.

Post by: Stormin on October 01, 2006, 17:47:43: Ã‚Â£15 per night for subscribers. Others Ã‚Â£20. That's For up to 2 adults and 2 kids. 1 vehicle and caravan or tent. Children under 15 free. Ã‚Â£5 per night each for extra adults, tents and vehicles. Off road course per hour. Subscribers Ã‚Â£12. Others Ã‚Â£15. And they say, NO PRICE INCREASE for 3 years. I agree, better security is needed. When Muddywebs genny went, that was the Thursday night, BEFORE the show was open. We where camped behind Tim on the river bank and never heard a thing. It was a BIG genny and no chance of picking it up. You coud see the wheel tracks across the grass. I've been going for around 14 years, missing the odd 1 or 2, and things were definately getting worse. From security, to camping areas, to toilet facilities, to antisocial behaviour.
