there was no intention on losing weight, but last week i was a naughty boy and suffice to say that what i did put me in a low point. :(
anyway i was back on track and ive been to the gym twice now, first time for bout 10 years!
i reckon cardio workout for 30 mins did more for me than anything
sweated like a... (insert appropriate phrase) but felt better
in other words... i hurt!

Well, I'm five foot and eleven inches last time I checked. I always say weight is a variable. Different people naturally weigh different amounts, even if you all ate the same, did the same exercising etc. you would all respond differently when it comes to weights. A large part is down to pure genetics.
My best advice is don't go off weight unless you must do, but go off how you feel and look. :D Of course, never take this to the extremes and become anorexic.

Had a number of unexplained heart attacks last year and other major illness's since such as a blood clot in my arm and I have had phenomena twice and other such wonderful things. When I went into the hospital in December I was weighed and was 17.8 stone (forget the kg) height 6ft
I now weigh just fewer than 14 stone the doctors are ‘concerned’ with my weight loss though, I am informed by the same doctors that I really ought to be around 11stone to be ‘healthy’ in their opinion
That said I did have problems with vomiting after every meal once I left hospital, up until last month when one doctor decided I ought to take anti nausea tablets although I can now eat and keep it down I am still loosing weight.
I personally think for me it’s down to the size and the times I eat not any exercise I have done or not done as is the actual case, the vomiting I am sure ‘helped’ too but then I think that me actually WANTING to loose the weight helped as much as any of the above.
In addition to this at the start of the school holidays my eldest daughter fell off her horse and was injured badly with an exposed dislocation of her lower arm, daddy said some silly things to her when being rushed at high speed in an ambulance such as “don’t worry†and “ it’s ok the horse didn’t do it on purpose†and “daddy will have to learn how to ride†…………she remembered little of that fateful day other than “daddy will have to learn how to rideâ€Â. The riding school I knew had a weight limit of 14 stone and at the time I was just over 15stone so thought I could get out of it,
I am now on my 4th riding lesson.
I know I digressed a little but my point is I have 3 children I am nearing 37yrs old and I need to be around a long while yet, I want to be able to support my children in everything they do so keeping healthy is the only option I have.
Ok I rambled as usual, I shall shut the door on the way out.

Well said Smog, i think the realisation of the main benefit of health is the best motivation going. Being around for the ones we love.
Ive got 2 kids the eldest is only 5 and at 35 my weight was what it had been for several years but i had slowly turned from muscle to fat.
Ive been back at the gym doing Thai boxing and watching what i eat...ive dropped one and a half stone in three months and my jeans are hanging off me!
Well done strapping lad do what you feel comfortable with...Bmi is always based on averages. You may have a bigger build, be more muscular etc...its only a guide.
