Aren't we sad?! We go on holiday to get away from it all and take pictures of Land Rovers
I'm just as bad. When we talk about holidays, I immediately think of safaris, laning, etc. "Yes dear, I'd love to go away for a weekend. How does North Wales sound? We can go in the 110." The reply is best not printed here

thing is
the place is full of restaurants with top nosh and after we arrived, caroline's friend took us to Old Portelet Inn which is on the south west of st helier, and has fantastic food and piles of it too!
what did i do when i got out of the car, take pics of the scenery/landscape?
NO
a bloody defender with muds on!
caroline said thats a teensy bit sad!

See, told you so!! But women just don't understand, do they? Having said that, Sarah has taken to her Freelander and is really pleased she didn't get a Yaris, so there's hope yet!

They drive fine and are reliable beyond belief. BUT...... boring! And I *really* hated that digital speedo in the centre. For goodness sake, putting it in the middle so it takes your eyes even further off the road is madness. The classic Mini was the last to do that and even that car lost the centre speedo back in 1986!
We also drove a Smart4Four. Excellent! Really felt well built with superb ergonomics. But to get the one we wanted was going to cost £11k
So, I too, am glad we got the Freebie.

A couple of week's back we were in north wales, near corwen on the A5,
one hell of a lot of 90's with welsh farmer's i assume thinking who the hell is that waveing like a nutter.
but wifey was in charge of the camera so only shot's of sheep the only thing more in evidence than 90's

The first thing that you learn as a kid when you live in North Wales is how to change the wheel on the Landie , and the second is how to shear a sheep.

erm, in defence of the Yaris, it is a great car for teaching people to drive..... and the service we have from the dealer is second to none............ but yes, they are boring :)
I prefer teaching in the Jimny and driving my Mitsi!!
When in Kefalonia a few weeks ago, the few things that turned my head were landies and the difference in the spec of the Samurais out there........... very very sad!! :)
