I chickened out with mine, and wash it by hand now.

To be honest, with the +2" lift fitted now, I'm not sure it would fit like it used to anyway.  It was a close call before in my local Tesco car wash.

Thought about putting a heavy duty bin liner over the top, and zip tying it though, but never got around to trying it.

Horness.

It will survive turned backwards (I've done it with mine numerous times), but I'd suggest taping the opening - the carwash throws water from a direction the Snorkel is not designed to deal with, so there's a good chance of large amounts going down it!

id never ever ever take anything through one the amount of damage they do!!

worst id seen is kids tying nuts to the spinny bits didnt half make a noise on the car let alone the damage it caused

I like to power wash the underneath to keep the chassis in tip top condition but I have a job interview tomorow and would be very embarassing if I left 4 piles of mud behind and first impression and all......

Looks like I am doing it by hand then :( Last time I did it by hand all the mud put scratches into the body work as wiped over with the sponge hence thinkingabout a car wash. I have power washed most of the mud off today. It is only thbody work to do. also some car washes to a chassis wash so would be good to use that for the areas I cantget to undrneath but how good they are is beyondme. Im thinking probably not very!!!

Mate of mine used to service car wash machines and they used the company transport to test them after they had been repard.  The vans used to get resprayed every year as the company colours were NOT metal.

How is going for a little dabble in a ford and having fun getting a big bow wave illegal? If it washes the car too you cant help it if it just so happens to clean it too
