The day after London to Brigton I was back on the road going to pick up my brother from gatwick airport. I was london bound on the M40 when I had an auwful blow out on the nearside front tyre. Manage to get to the hard shoulder without killing anyone. The tyre, inner tune and wheel rim was F****D.
Thanks to the Guy in Blue 90 who stopped and offered to help me change It. I declined his offer in the interest of safety. As one muppet had almost totaled me already as I was at the bottom of the slip way and people were not looking where that were going. The RAC took me off the M40 to a safe location and the spare went on.
I have now discovered that tubes are not the best idea. But my steels will only take tubes so I have purchace 4 new steels and 4 cooper STs. They look great unlike my bank account. Mind you Nene Tyres were very nice to me.
Thanks to old joe for the help at nene!

Hi
you should try some tyre sealant in those new tyres, from my experience Ultraseal is a fantastic product, seals most puntures, but in the event of a large-ish hole it will allow a controlled air-down of the tyre.
Anyone interested give me a call, or pm
