If i could find the polyphonic version of the song me and my current one share then i would use that i spose as a ringtone, not that she rings me ever lol
-
Favourite song I just can't pick!!
Most memorable , The Pretenders I'll standby You, It was playing in the pub the night before a friend got married and was exactly what our conversation was about.
-

Favorite - Age of Innocence by Iron Maiden. Just a great song with a true meaning and great guitair solos. If you haven't heard it, do it. You'll love it.
Most Memerable (sp?). Spirit in the Sky, Played at my uncles funeral and still reduces me to tears...
-
One of my most memorable is Don Henleys 'Boys Of Summer' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtcJwlXDs2E&mode=related&search=)
The first time I heard it was whilst driving at Sandsend (just north of Whitby) with the girlfriend (now SWMBO) & it was just so evocative of lost loves, summer etc.....
It's still got to be one of the perfect driving songs??
Favourite song is a very difficult one, as it may change from week-to-week
If you take it as the most played track, it would be either;
'I'm Still In Love With You' Steve Earle & The Del McCoury Band (featuring Iris Dement)
'The Green Fields Of France' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/clips/isrc/festive50/1984/_GB-AFR-85-10044_mentheycould_greenfieldsoffrance.ram) The Men They Couldn't Hang
'Our Town' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVsOewC8GAE) Iris Dement (it's the imagery that gets me)
'Down To The River' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rPrQeP27L0) Alison Krauss & Union Station (pure gospel Acapella)
Most of Bruce Springsteens & Johnny Cashs offering also enthrall me
-
I love anything by Alison Krauss, her voice is just magical and her song writing skills are amazing.
-

-
Difficult one to decide--- kinda depends on the mood
So i guess Happy= Prodigy, no good start the dance,
Sad= Madonna, Take a bow
Singing badly to = four non blondes, bigger better more (the whole album)
Reasons Prodigy-- proper old school illegal raver :(music):
Madonna -- Personal reasons but kinda obvious if ya listen to it :cry:
Four non blondes -- Just proper loud kinda stuff really :(biglaugh):

That's high on my lists as well, a really great song from a band not known for the slower stuff. Also loved their cover of Whisky in the Jar.

How about that recent song that was on practically all the time on Radio 2, written by the lady who had cancer & wrote it for her daughter
It was called 'How We laughed' & was set to music & produced by Billy Bragg (who also played guitar)
Can't remember her name, or the singer :?

OK another memorable one from my youth is:
The Cult, Rain.
Prefer 'She Sells Sanctuary' for that epic opening with Billy Duffy playing that Gretsch White Falcon
(or 'SpiritWalker', when they were still Southern Death Cult)
