On that note i saw 3 tucks and trailers occuping one peice of road today.
One arctic with a flat bed trailer with 2 17 tonners on the back with a trailer on each of the 17 tonners flat beds.
Very impressive site and it must save them a furtune on fuel

Saw that the other day, flatbed on flatbed with a Vitara or Jimmy on the final flatbed.

It appears it is not so rare....

The best on like that I've seen is the Aussie road trains. For those who don't know, in siome states they have a truck (Prime mover) pulling anything from 2 upto 7 trailers. I've seen some flatbed road trains which when they've unloaded and are coming back empty, they stack the trailers on each other and often carry another vehicle back with them.

They have massive ammounts of power those Australian road trains. Wouldnt mind the engine in my vehicle, when i get one that is!
-
would have thought weight restrictions would be pushed.. not to mention height!
...low bridge anyone?!

You're not kidding! The road train prime movers usually have at least 600bhp and some (on the really big ones) have upto 1000bhp.

makes my dads 340bhp DAFodil look a little weedy!

its even more incredible when you think these heavy movers dont rev too high
the amount of torque produced must be phenominal
