i recently bought a 3" calmini lift kit from LA supertrux (service was terrible).
The springs and shocks all went on fine but i cant seem to get the old pitman arm off, it says in the haynes manual use a two jaw puller so i got one and it still didn't come off can anyone help
also how can i get the caps off the stock axel breathers?
any info greatly appreciated :D

Not sure how you are using the puller, but if you tighten it as much as you dare then tap the end of the puller bolt with a hammer, it shock loads the arm and it should come off.
As Simon said, the breather caps will prise off. The bottom edge is just crimped in a little.

Drop Pitman arm - that'll be a SJ/Sammy :)
LA Supertrux - service? They have NO idea!

Hi Simon
I've still not received the Anvil Axle!!! I spoke with Zoe at L A S 10 mins ago and chased her for my refund - AGAIN!!!!!
I've fitted a GV steel axle now. £350 cheaper than the Anvil. Lets hope it lasts OK? :)

I've fitted all the rest of the Calmini stuff (here's an old photo without the front bumper/winch fitted)

angle grinder and cold chisel.
cut slots going upwards though the joint then split it with the chisel.

Look at my post in the Mitsi forum about doing same job on a paj. End of the day it was down to The Grinder and chisel as mentioned above.

2 or 3 leg puller(biggish one tho) get it all tight, tap with a hammer, and hey presto. Maybe a day or two soaking in wd40 or similar tho first.
Its odd how people get the completely opposing image about a shop tho. Ive had dealings with LA Supertrux twice, first time owner hung back on saturday waiting for me, then showed me round workshop(and MONSTER TRUCK) had a brew, and was a thoroughly nice bloke, seconde time went OK, parts arrived ,no problems. I have heard that Calamini are pretty crap in their distribution of parts tho. Specialist leisure have given me the 'its on its way from the states ' promise before, and I really do believe that Calamini dont exactly rush to get them parts across to the UK.
As mentioned, breather covers pop off dead easy(mole wrench does trick well) AND hose pipe fits nicely onto the spigot to make up axle breathers.......
Transfer case breather is a smaller diameter tho, dont forget that, and the gearbox want to breath fresh air eh?????
