Hi there new member based in Sunny Fife, Scotland. I am considering putting a 200 or 300 tdi into a E plate 2.5 Turbo.
Is it just a straight transplant or is there loads to consider eg engine mounts, rad etc etc. I haven't sourced a donor vehicle (for the engine) yet when I do should I grab as many ancillaries as I can or will the engine alone cover it.

:D I had 300tdi and r380 g/box put in mine they moved the engine mounts change the seat box transmission tunnel and floor panels :D Best thing i have ever done though!!

did this one not to long ago & had to fit new engine mounts,adjust the seatbox & floorplates & fit the correct centre tunnel & diaphram on the bulkhead,
where about in fife are you?

Thanks for quick response, I should have mentioned that its a 90, not sure if that makes a difference to the work. Glad you haven't regreted the transplant.

i didnt do it to my motor,did it to my mates E reg 90 as part of a swap :lol: his 90 goes like a train now & i have his old 200tdi in my truck,
the fact that its a 90 doesnt make much odds but what matters is if you are doing just an engine convo or are fitting the R380 gearbox aswell

If I can lay my hands on a R380 box then I would prefer to stick both of them in the landy. Where if fife are you based?
