Title: One of lifes ambitions achieved
Post by: Lord Shagg-Pyle on October 13, 2006, 17:23:36
Last weekend I was able to carry out a boyhood dream. My dear lady bought me a Tank driving day for my last 21st birthday. And what an excellent day it was!
Starting off on an AV432, then to an Abbot SPG and finally..................

A CHIEFTAN!!

It was awsome! The feeling of power and invincibility! I want one.

I did broach the idea of buying a surplus Abbot, but it was at that point my dear lady told me I had a large lump on my head. I asked her to point to the lump n my head, so she did, with a large weighted stick!
When I came to, I realized she was right. I did have a large lump on my head and I had gone off the idea of buying a large tanky thing. Shame really, it would have stopped all the parking problems round here.

who was that with?[/quote]

A company called Juniper Leisure, near Winchester. My missus booked it through www.buyagift.co.uk
Don't know what the total cost was and to be honest, I don't care! The grin factor was very high!
The problem is, what next?
Fast cars don't appeal (done that through work) and I can't afford my own personal Supermarine Spitfire.
