Post by: ferret on October 15, 2006, 20:34:31
Does anyone know the best place for a set of 5 bf goodrige mt's in birmingham or surrounding areas. And what sort of price for 5 33" tyres fitted to my 16" wolf rims and would they fit?.

255/85x16 are near enough 33" . They would fit nicely onto wolf rims. As for price, they are usually around £120 per tyre in that size :( . I don't know of anyone local to you to supply though.

BEst place for 4x4 tyres, particularly if the size you want is a little...erm... unusual.... is Southam Tyres, South of Coventry on the A426 I think. Check the map!

Do you think that i would have any gearing problems on a 200tdi defender with 33" tyres. I was thinking less revs at higher speeds an mine seems to scream at 70mph. Or would i have problems pulling away.

Its fitted with an uprated intercooler and adjusted pump.

You will be fine with 33's on your motor. I used to run them with no probs. It will accellerate a bit slower but not much.  :D

Southam or Silverline are good for tyre's, I have got 33's on my 200tdi & it's not to bad at pull away or top end,

Hope that helps
