I have noticed that there seems to be two sorts of rear light cluster fitted to Discos of around the time mine was built. Those with an indicator and those without. Mine is one of the ones that does not have an indicator in the cluster, it only has one in the rear bumper.
I have seen rear light clusters in the parts bin at shows and I was wondering whether it is an easy job to do a swap? Is the wiring there already or not?

if your lucky the wiring is in place already and its a straight swap for a cluster with the indicator in it, if your not lucky then there is a small amount of wiring that will need doing and the indicator relay may need changing to cope with the extra lights

and as for easy to swop........... yes very easy if u have tiny hands like a 5 year old .... :shock: ive still got the scars from when i did mine and the stupid little black plastic screw cap things were all chewed up :?

Agreed mate . . . had one of mine off the other evening, skinned two knuckles on sharp panel edges in the process . . . . :cry:

I took the seats out when I did mine (Torx 30 bolts, I think they're a 30)
Luckily mine was one of those that was already wired to the multi-pin plug.
I also run the plastic nuts up & down the thread a couple of times whilst they were out to make sure they were smooth running, plus a smear of vaseline around the gaskets to help prevent any water ingress.
Then, a new flasher unit that could handle the extra load (plus trailer indicators)
An AMR 4873 operated it all properly*, which was 3 x 21watt, plus side-repeater
Plus at times;
2 x 21watt clusters on trailer I had then (& the lighting board)
21watt & side-repeaters on the BWSOW
