Title: engine whineing 1989 3.9

hi nice to have the forums back

ive had my 3.9 for about a month now (ive had 3x3.5s) and it has had a few little niggles (rust,lean,knock ect ect...) now im probably paranoid but when ive got the erm... pedal to the metal :?  it seems to whine is this me or is it normal?

im only asking as i dont remeber my 3.5s whineing.....well not the engine anyway :D

To my knowledge it is normal for a slight whine from the engine under full power....  Sure it isn't the air intake you're hearing?

Yeah, the intake whines/whistles a bit and the belts do too.  Are you sure it's not transmission?

If it's still the same in a month then stop worrying, turn the radio up.

thanks for your replys i think i have a heavy right foot  :D
i have a cone air fillter fitted but the noise is the same as when i had the original onr fitted.its not the transmission as i can hear it in front of me.
