check your car insurance if you have volantry excess add up the total and see how expensive it gets even on a simple claim
dont think i would do vollantry excess again as mine totals £500 on a claim and my daughters is £400 for hers if she has a claim so check your small print also cos it might not cover what you think it does :(

my full excess (voluntary and compulsory) is £150 all in.

Norwich Union put me down for a voluntary excess of £750 on a car that is worth less than that without making it clear to me!  

It has taken several weeks of wrangling to sort out and even a month or so later I still do not have the correct paperwork.

just had a customer collect a car from the bodyshop with an excess of 1400 quid........Subaru driver. hahaha

My voluntary excess is £0 as if you do an online quote and look at the difference between £0 and £500 voluntary excess the annual premium only goes down by about £20 so your loosing out in many ways. Voluntary excess is a con by the insurance companies. I will avoid it at all costs!!!
