Front steering guard after a recent trip to the Vale of  Belvoir, bent like a Banana, removed , ran the truck over it , as new ish.......

to date ive bent 1 steering guard on the 110 and 2 on my RRC (one currently fitted)...its what theyre there for!

Still not convinced about most steering guards. The majority, apart from say the D44 one with their uber expensive low profile bumper, stick out too far and hence get bashed up a lot more than you would without one.

I just run sumo drag link and track rod bars and the same on previous hybrid - never had a problem yet.

Oh, that's the shape of JJ's current steering gaurd on his RRC.  Doesn't beat the V shaped one that came off it a few months ago though. ;)  :lol:

Like it says above, damage is it's job.  By bending it absorbs some of the impact.
