Title: fitting power steering to sj 410

need to fit power steering to my sj 410
going the vitara route can anyone give me more details if theyve done this conversion and has anyone gone down the jimny steering box route
alternatively is there another route using non suzuki bits
thanks in advance for any info to complete this job

vauxhall carlton pump, and box.
flat adaptor p-late made up, countersunk grade 8 bolts welded into each side, 1 to fit chassis, the other to suit the pas box, change the joint on the idler arm for one of appropriate size and taper, and hey presto, proper power steering, not like feeble vitara pas.

many thanks for superb info
any particular model of vauxhall carlton do i need to source parts
any likely problems with belts and mounting etc
fairly competent so can follow your advice

easiest option is vitara power steering pump and belt and gubbings matted to a jimny steering box as this fits perfect to the sj chassis
