going the vitara route can anyone give me more details if theyve done this conversion and has anyone gone down the jimny steering box route
alternatively is there another route using non suzuki bits

vauxhall carlton pump, and box.
flat adaptor p-late made up, countersunk grade 8 bolts welded into each side, 1 to fit chassis, the other to suit the pas box, change the joint on the idler arm for one of appropriate size and taper, and hey presto, proper power steering, not like feeble vitara pas.

easiest option is vitara power steering pump and belt and gubbings matted to a jimny steering box as this fits perfect to the sj chassis
