Title: Alpine CD unit - help needed
Post by: Bishops Finger on November 03, 2006, 21:49:03
Got an Alpine Head unit with an Alpine CD multichanger

Head unit decided to stop playing CDs and throw up a code E02 this afternoon

Replaced and checked CD's

Any advice would be much appreciated

Will disconnect battery tomorrow to see if it can reset the head unit

Check the Head unit doesnt have a reset button. the changer may well have too. Its possible the pickup in the head unit has dies or is covered in filth. get a decent CD cleaner in there. If you still have issues PM me and i can take a look.

On the net, it says to dissconnect the changer. Then see if the fault still comes up. If so clean it first. If not then it needs a service. To be honest, you can probably buy a new one for the price of a service. :D
