Title: Cruise control ( how to use it )
Post by: Greenlanekit on November 04, 2006, 19:51:53
I've well, we've just bought our new Discovery, its P reg but comming back I couldnt figure out how you use the cruise control on the motorway, can anyone tell me how it works.

Theres a motorway switch on the dash and a + - switches on the wheel the plus has "set" on it.

Its a Jap import, BFG All terrains , 1/2 leather, air con  etc, we're totally chuffed with it. Thanks

Press the motorway switch so the light comes on.

Get to speed, press SET. That's it. If it DOESN'T work, check the vacuum pipes.....

If it's like the one on the Td5:

1.   press the motorway switch
2.   be going faster than 30 mph
3.   press the set switch - should pull forward like the steroe remote
4.  foot off accelerator should be working.
5.   Brake or clutch disengaes it, but flick '-' should go back to your preset speed.
6.   flick '+' speed goes up 1mph , flick '-' speed goes down 1 mph.

If you can get hold of a manuel it's in there.
Title: cool thanks

We call mine Elvis.  Sometimes he's taking care of business, soetimes he leaves the building, suddenly  .

Either way he's got a bit of a temper, kicks down at about 75 if it hits a hill.
