Title: Yet again we suffer biased reporting
Post by: UDTrev on November 05, 2006, 15:01:15
Seen this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/southern_counties/6118082.stm

I have complained:

"This is a complaint about your BIASED reporting - in particular the story "Teenager dies after 4x4 accident"

If you read the story ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/southern_counties/6118082.stm ) you will see that any number of vehicles could have hit the poor unfortunate girl and caused her fatality - but YOU have used this as yet another attack on 4x4s.

The BBC used to have an unparalleled reputation for unbiased reporting, this clearly shows how far you have strayed from that path in your zeal to persecute 4x4 owners.
"

I urge you all to do the same and shame the BBC to change it's ways.

Unfortunatly the BBC while being funded by the public, is controlled by the government, hence if they dont like 4x4's (which they dont) it will be reflected by the reporting in the BBC.

Not sure if that is biased reporting

What will be biased reporting is when relations can't accept that it was (if it was) the girls fault and screaming that if it had been another car the girl would still be living

Seems factual to me.

I would be concerned if it was something like "lots of 4x4's in area so must have been" kind of report.

I think we need to bne careful to fight the battles that are really there and not get oversensitive to every story containing 4x4.
