Good stuff, fireworks are very tricky to capture. I might go to the big display tonight and get some, not seen any yet this year.

Fantastic...! I had some success in 80's when I was into photography, but my success rate was similar to yours....

Film/Digital, Compact/SLR?
Skibum

I took the family out to a remote spot last night to let off a box of fireworks.
Left the camera at home  #-o

Always the way.
I've got me battery on charge, just gotta clean me lens and find a decent spot with a good view and not too many hundred people pushing in front!

Don't be they are an accumulation of several years work eventually finding the right place to take them from and finding out how to use the camera
In all, over the years, about 3 maybe 400 photos worth, plus the fact it was a professional display helped a lot.
I found out the best way to take them was either multiple exposures or extremely long exposures using a tripod of course.
Keep it up yours are as good as mine

Thanks i'll carry on trying  8)

I took some tonight - as usual i'm not overly impressed with the results, i think i ought to stick to night industrial stuff and sports/motorsport photography!!
