Title: Series 3 heater blower
Post by: Lucy1978 on November 10, 2006, 12:58:39
Has anyone upgraded the blower motor in their series 3, any suggestions as to what'll fit?  Mines like an asthematic blowing through a straw.

Try and source a truck cab heater, i finished up doing this on the disco, it was a better option to stripping out the whole dash

and also gives instant heat

i think the motor burnt out in mine, and as a temporary fix i've put 2 fans from inside a PC.
i'll add photos of it, as soon as my batteries for my camera charge up
it chucks out as much air from the vents as my original one ever did.

whether mine was working properly, i dont think so.

maybe just have a look around your local scrapyard and see what looks right

the eberspacker (or something like that) heater is one of the best, as long as you are willing to sacrefice the tool box under the passangers seat for the tank and controls...and saves messing with the dash :-)

must admit the one in the 110 is pants - plenty of 'puff' there - but no heat!! even though the pipes seem to get hot - looks like back flushing i think!!
