Has anyone upgraded the blower motor in their series 3, any suggestions as to what'll fit? Mines like an asthematic blowing through a straw.

its not got an ex-mil 24v blower in it running on 12v has it? that would make it slow.

Try and source a truck cab heater, i finished up doing this on the disco, it was a better option to stripping out the whole dash
and also gives instant heat

the motor is great its the type of fan go on the mg classics car parts sites and look for the fan that goes on them its a smiths with less blades than our type fans so pushes mor air through
laters

was a mod in lro mag some time back by fitting a fan in side the fan housing

i think the motor burnt out in mine, and as a temporary fix i've put 2 fans from inside a PC.
i'll add photos of it, as soon as my batteries for my camera charge up
it chucks out as much air from the vents as my original one ever did.
whether mine was working properly, i dont think so.

I'm thinking of trying to find one from a modern car, I want to be able to hear theair being blown through, nort the pathetic little zephyr I get now.

I've read elsewhere that a vw polo one will fit a series motor, not sure how as mine still works .....

maybe just have a look around your local scrapyard and see what looks right

the eberspacker (or something like that) heater is one of the best, as long as you are willing to sacrefice the tool box under the passangers seat for the tank and controls...and saves messing with the dash :-)

must admit the one in the 110 is pants - plenty of 'puff' there - but no heat!! even though the pipes seem to get hot - looks like back flushing i think!!
