Post by: jamesledingham on November 20, 2006, 16:32:24
Any ideas on methods of getting a roofrack for a truck cab?

Cutting down and rewelding a brownchurch or other style of rack? I have a 1/3 of a 109 one on my roof after the 109 in question hit a tree.

Hi,

Speak to Patriot, they do one espically designed for a truck cab.

Cheers,

Patriot Roofracks do exactly what I'm after...for £800! I'm sure I'd get what I paid for, but does anyone know of a cheaper alternative (Short of me fabricating one myself)?

Or would my cheaper option be to buy and fit a hardtop, then buy a full roofrack for that?

Perhaps the problem isn't as big as I first thought it was. Two normal roofbars on the gutter should do just fine!

Hi James.

I've seen this done before once by one of my mates on his series truck cab.

He used a brownchurch type rack, still full length, with a support bar fabricated to suit at the back of the load bed.

He's a Mudclub member as well. Drop Hafman a PM and see if he's got any old pics he can scan in.

Hope this helps.
