i have been round the 'ring lots of times, even have the nurburgring sticker on my car... and i can tell you he is bloody HOOOONING it F****g fast...

No seriously, I drive to Czech a bit and go past the ring, is it just a case of turn up and pay???

yeh. as long as its open. you can find opening times of the ring on their website. make sure you check the website and correspond it to the day you will go... dont do what we did once and got it wrong ](*,)
it cost 15 euros per lap.
and then they do deals on laps after that...
