Hi there, am I correct in thinking that a 410 transfer box fitted to a 413 will lower the overall gearing, especially in low range?
If so is there anyone out there with a 410 T box? and how much?
Many thanks.

rare as hens teeth at the moment, lots swapped into 413's to lower the gearing, but lots also converted into 4.16 boxes like mine.

You are correct about lowering the ratio.
I have one available. It looks like it's been leaking from one of the seals and I really don't know it's condition (never driven it). But they are pretty bullet proof so it should be OK.
I guess it would be worth about £30 in unknown condition.

In that case it's £40   Nah, I'm realistic about these things. £30 would do me fine. I don't know it's condition although it's fair to say they rarely give trouble do they?

How much of difference do they make? I've just fitted one to mine and haven't tested it yet but got a play day on Sunday. I'm amazed at how much better the gearing was in my 410, i know the box and diffs are different too so is the change going to make any significant difference?
Mine was free by the way! I sold my old pickup to a guy and when we got chatting he said he had one under the bench and didn't ned it so i could have it!!

Going from std 27" tyres to 31", the 410 transfer box nearly brings the gearing back to std. Hopefully that should give you some rough idea in real terms.

I think the low range ratio in the LJ80 is lower than the 410`s
