My rad is past its best, 2 many mud coatings and dunkings in briercliffe followed by a motorway services jetwash have taken their toll.
No fins in half of it at least. Cant go over 60 for any length of time and have to keep the heaters on to sit at 60.
Radiators are horribly expensive (best option so far is £100 to recore my own) so just wondered if anyone had fitted anything off another car? Dont mind making up brackets etc.
Anyone done it or am I hunting for a second hand one?

For a TDi? best check E-Blag.

Let me know if you have one for the right price mike. Suppose I will do findapart etc in the morning.
Cheers,
Mike

Whatever you do- don't ignore it, I did until one day i forgot to keep an eye on the gauge and ended up 'cooking' it. When I opened the bonnet the plastic sensors were so hot they had melted and were running down the head!!
I got a new rad from paddocks and head gasket from Main dealer, that was 15,000 miles ago, it's been no problem since :D
-
need a rad for mine but i did a temp repair last service by filling the centre of the rad with silicon sealer as all all the copper fins have disintigrated and i needed to support the water tubes still holding up so far
