Blew the front light the other night and then found it was sealed beam unit, so opted for the conversion kit, it has the halo with the connectors to the side lights, question is, do I slave these from the side lights or can I run these direct as side lights?
-
Are they legal? Only ones I've come across where lacking the E mark.
-
coincidence 1 of my lights has gone and its a sealed beam too, the bulb in mine is sitting in the bottom of the bulb unit after some off roading last weekend, paddocks do a halogen kit with the E mark now.

I've just ordered the emarked halogen/clear lense kit. Anyone got any tips on allignment?
-
park up few meters back from a flat wall,,,, chalk or gaffer tape and mark out ya beem pattern fit new and line back up with the marks you have made

Thinking outside the box.. i like that. I had them alligned at my last MOT. The nice tester man did it as he went along (i had fitted taller wheels).
I assume its just a case of cranking the screws?
-
yeah think there 3screws with springs behind them just adjust to suit
-
Two actually unless you have a series vehicle.
The top one adjusts the height.
The side one moves the light sideways.
Now after you've done the wall trick and got the height correct.Take the vehicle down the road.A nice quiet road.See if you can get a misty night.Put main beam up.
Now see how good your side adjustment is.You might like to reset that now.
I like to have my main beam set out very slightly from each other but make sure that the dip is within limits.
