Why was it confiscated?

I've had a Champ (and a Supertool/Wave) on my belt for the last 15 years. Wouldn't leave home without them. Great pieces of kit! 8)

My dad has Champ which he kept in his dresser drawer, many was the time that I would sneak in for a look.
Then in 1991, I bought my own, bigger and better than his :D
Now it looks like there is a bigger and betterer one, may just have to speak to Santa.

I can understand some of the appeal for the bigger swiss armys, but personally i would never buy one, they just come way too bulky.
I have a Victorinox climber which is just 3 sections wide and i find it to be about the optimum size. Most importantly i has good scissors (the best nail scissors i've ever had), a corkscrew, and a bottle opener  . Its not very often i use the other tools on it.

I also have the swiss champ. A great peice of kit. :) When will they bring one out with a winch? :)

I never leave home without my Leatherman Wave, great bit of kit.

One of my customers bought me a Leatherman Juice Pro for Christmas last year - a great bit of kit that's had a lot of use over the year without falling apart

Weird, I've gone loads of places where they don't let knives, including the septic consulate and the Eye. Never had a problem. They look after them until you come out and hand 'em right back.
Even the plod on the street, train stations, etc don't seem to bother. The tools (i don't like calling them simply "knives") are strapped to my belt and quite visible with the brand name showing. Still don't get any grief or "brazilian treatment"
Maybe you just look dodgy?
