Title: wheel studs
Post by: philbert on December 10, 2006, 11:42:19
anyone fitted series3/defender wheel studs to a series 2a before?
would like to know what size to drill the hubs to fit the studs as they are an interference fit rather than a screw fit.

thanks

Won't the hubs from a scrapper fit along with new drums... far less work. I assume your on about replacing the early small thin studs with later thicker studs?

I just bunged stage 1 axles under, sorted

yup i have fitted wolf wheels
and want to  fit longer stronger studs.

thought it might be easier than changing the hubs!

I have a series 3 chassis in my back garden that has good axles (rear one is a salsbury axle).
Will be going after Christmas so make me in offer.
