Title: Bluetooth Car Kits
Post by: andycwb on December 10, 2006, 12:36:38
Folks

I want to get a Bluetooth car kit fitted into SWMBO's shiny new (cough) Ford Focus.  Anyone got any recommendations for ones to use or avoid?

Andy

if you have a nokia I'd get the Nokia NK-1W, was a doddle to fit and works well enough...  also only around £40 on ebay :)

A CK-7W is a good choice (the CK-1W is a bit brain dead with some phones) but if you have the cash go for an 610 (no cradle) or 616 (cradle). They have a funky screen and run in remote sim mode, and can have an over-rideably car only sim, which is handy if your mobile goes flat often.

Mate of mine has a Parrot (http://www.parrot.biz/uk/products/ck3100-lcd) fitted in his car.  They are about £99 fitted at Halfrauds, they connect it into the radio so the call comes out through the speaker system!
