Doe's anybody know how to solve low oil pressure on a 2lt sports.
It seems ok when its cold but when it warms up it's quite low????
It doesn't knock or rattle but when it's warm and you re-start it the oil light take a while to go out????

Obvioulsy the oil goes thin when hot, when you stop the engine it's draining away and takes much longer to pick up. The answer is got o a thicker oil or strip the engine and fit new crank bearings and/or oil pump.
I'd recomend the Lucas oils from E-Bay, they come with an oils stabiliser to prevent the problem you are getting and they do a good 20w/50. One £25 bottle has 9 1/2 litres so should last you all year.

Hi Skip I used to have a 20l sport now got the 2.8 tdi lwb.
What you describe is perfectly normal.
From cold it shoots to the top and once warm on tick over the gauge should read aroud the first quarter mark and reved when warm three quarter mark.
The 20L runs very warm when in 4wd for long periods but it will be ok, Ivew done 12 hours continuas laning in my old sport never cooked the engine once :D
Try looking here

the oil pick up in the sump gets blocked
so u need to remove the sump and clean it out and the pick up gause
DONT use flushing oil as it will knacker the engine
