After a long wait, it finally showed last night.
What a dissapointment.
Its probably a fine piece of television but with the frequency and duration of the adverts I just could not get into it.
Properly dissapointed.

My 3 boys, ChrisW (30 something) Jake (13) and Lewis (nearly 10) seem to be enjoying it :) :) :)

Definitely. I managed not to go to sleep through part 2 (may have been something to do with a VERY late night on Saturday).
Must admit, I did enjoy it apart from said adverts.HWTHMBO and I thought the casting of Susan was spot on, and Joss Ackland was sound as the Archchancellor, and many of my favourite moments from the book were included, although Nobby Nobbs was not as little and skinny as I had imagined ... but ... WHERE was the Cheerful Fairy?

I am sure you can do that on the computer....... just not sure what would be best to use........ we used to use something called tmpg encoder (or something like that) which you could edit frames with but not sure now :?

I enjoyed it, was a quality show compared to the past animated versions.

I watched the first half and a little bit of last nights due to being @ christmas party. but it def needs watching with out the breaks... makes you forget whats happend and disrupts the flow..
-
I must admit that it lost me, especially the bloke with the weird eyes.

shame that a lot had to be dropped from the books, but at least it was made by americans.

I get stuff off sky recorded for me by my parents. All of the sky ad breaks are pretty much the same length (in my experience). After fast forwarding through the first one you know how long you need to hold the ffw button down to get through the rest of them.
It takes around 10 secs on my dvd player or 5 seconds when im using the dvd player on the laptop. Im getting good at starting it off again as soon as i see the sky ad at the end of the advert break ;)

Does anyone have it on DVD who would be prepared to copy it and send it to me - don't have sky!!

Sarah set the reminder on Sky so we started watching it. Then I changed channels when I realised she was fast asleep on the sofa! Couldn't get into it at all.
