in having a 3 piece steering guard instead of a single piece one?

yeah generally the are more adjustable so if you have like a winch bumper you may find a 3 piece easier to fit than a normal 1 piece....... but thats just my opinion :wink:

Thanks for the reply but i dont have a winch bumper and wont be getting one either :) , any other advantages that make the extra cost justifiable?

Yup 3 piece, the side bits bolt onto the front bit making it more flexible for fitting to awkward vehicles :lol:

If it's for a Land Rover, use a 3 piece one. The chassis tolerances are rubbish! If it's going a Jap vehicle, a one piece one should be fine. They know how to build cars accurately  :lol:

Depending on the design the 3 piece may be easier to remove (just remove the middle) to allow acess for cleaning or repairs etc.
